About Me
Hi, I’m Sharnelle, founder of The Therapy Space Clinic. As a qualified CBT therapist with nearly 10 years of experience in the field. It has been rewarding to witness change in those I’ve worked with, especially when they initially were unsure of the effectiveness of therapy.
I know how easy it can be to fall into a thinking pattern of ‘nothing is going to work’ or ‘I’ve tried this before and nothing happened’. Therapy is a journey and sometimes timing is the most important factor.
My place of study took place at University College London (UCL) which is renowned for its academic excellence which I believe contributed largely to my level of skill and development as a therapist. My passion for therapy occurred before I started my journey in becoming a CBT therapist. It started whilst working in Education where I provided emotional support to children and young people experiencing emotional distress and mental health difficulties.
During my time of studying at UCL, I still worked in Education but slowly moved into the clinical field working within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent mental health service) and within private organisations which introduced me to also working with adults. I enjoy working with all age groups and know the common mental health difficulties experienced across all ages which are anxiety depression and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).
During sessions with me, whether it be therapy, consultation or coaching. I aim to blend professionalism and relatability; offering a non-judgemental comfortable space for you to work through some of your challenges and concerns. I love what I do and if you do choose to receive support it is my hope that you will indeed experience the benefits of therapy/coaching.
